Hahahaha... Sorry, it's just that windows/mac compatibility is terrible. Anyway, since Apple locks everything down, there's isn't a huge amount one can do you fix it. You can try entering the address manually on the 'connect to server' window by entering "smb://DNS-IP/sharename" replacing DNS-IP with the DNS or IP of the server and sharename with the directory of the folder you want. afaik there is no integration possible outside of major overhauls by modders.
