Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to connect my RES to my pump this summer. I have the RES and the pump ready, but I'm not sure what steps to take.

Initially, I am cautious about FrozenCPU - they shut down for a long time and there are whispers they might be back online, but they also left many users without support or payment after going out of business, including some on the forums here.

But regarding your query - you just link the tubing between the pump inlet and the reservoir bottom fitting. It should include a few accessories plus a plug... I own the z-40 model and it came with them.

You won't be able to 'connect it directly' to that D5 pump, though; you'd need to replace the top and use an adapter.

Initially, I am cautious about FrozenCPU because they shut down for a while and there are rumors they might be back online, but they also left several users without support after going out of business and haven’t paid or shipped to those customers, including some on the forums here.

To address your query, you should link the tubing between the pump inlet and the reservoir’s bottom fitting. It usually comes with a few accessories plus a plug—my Z-40 version included them.

You won’t be able to connect it directly to that D5 pump without replacing the top and using an adapter.

Do you know which top mod would work best? I’m unsure which one to pick.

I found this product and was quite interested until I checked the reviews:

I observed that the ports are positioned very near each other. Placing two compression fittings adjacent to one another won't be feasible, so you'll have to use barbs or other types of fittings.

I observed the ports are very close together. Placing two compression fittings next to each other won't be effective, so you'll have to stick to barbs or different fittings. Would you consider using fittings for rigid tubing? Since I currently have regular tubing but intend to switch to acrylic rigid tubing.

Not likely, but you'd have a higher chance with rigid tubing fittings and PVC tubing instead. There are typically various top options from different makers for D5's, so you could browse and find something that suits your requirements, unless you're completely convinced about this choice.

Not very probable, but you'd have a higher chance with rigid tubing fittings paired with PVC tubing instead. There are typically multiple variations from various makers for D5's, so you might search around to find something that suits your requirements, unless you're really committed to this option. Would you like suggestions on a suitable choice or is the decision purely based on personal preference?

Largely personal, yet I haven't tried a D5 top before.

I possess the 300 model of that specific reservoir. I can confirm the compression fittings will work perfectly at each end. Every hole has a fitting, and they are all 1/2-3/4 sizes, making them quite spacious. All of them fit without issue.

My pump model is here: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15144/...30c107s153. It uses an mcp355 instead of the variable model.

I have a large Core X2 cube case, and the tube res is positioned at the bottom right near the window. It connects to the pump directly behind it in the corner. A 90-degree fitting and a short tube segment are involved. Everything functions flawlessly.

Remember, it's usually best to direct your res to feed into the pump first, for example: pump > rad > gpu > cpu > res (this is the setup on my end).
