Purchased a Netgear nighthawk x4 WiFi extender and followed the instructions. Suddenly, nothing connected to the internet. My desktop is connected via Ethernet but still doesn’t work. All router lights are lit, and I’ve restarted it several times. Called Netgear support on the phone; they’re demanding a $200 fee for a technician visit. Can someone help me fix this myself?
You can revert your router to its original configuration and restore internet functionality. Once you've had time to investigate and address any potential interruptions, setting up the WiFi extender might be necessary. I don’t understand why a WiFi extender would lead to such issues. I’ll look into the Netgear nighthawk x4 WiFi extender to identify possible mistakes.
Did you disconnect the extender and check your internet connection?
