I own a TP-Link Archer AX6000 router connected to gigabit internet. All devices using Cat 6a cables show speeds of one gigabit without problems except my PS4 Pro. The console is limited to 100 Mbps. I've tested various ports and cables but haven't succeeded. Restarting the PS4, modem, and router temporarily boosts speeds to 1 Gbps for a few minutes, then they drop back to under 100 Mbps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The issue involves a drop in speed from 1000mbps to 100mbps. Adding a different device, such as a laptop, at the end of the cable might affect the outcome.

I’ve dealt with several PS4 models (eight in total) that consistently link at 100Mb, either continuously or intermittently after power-on. I don’t have any recommendations since once a certain unit began this behavior, we couldn’t get them back to gigabit speeds again.

It's only the PS4 Pro. I've tested various cables and ports without success. Reached out to Playstation support, who pointed the fault at my router. Then contacted TP Link, who blamed my PS4.

I've never used this before, yet I'm curious about its potential. An Ethernet-to-USB converter might fit a PlayStation, though there could be many reasons it wouldn't work.
