Console updates that move to PC often lose controller functionality. Games originally designed for controllers can become nearly unusable when ported, especially if keyboard-mouse support is removed. This issue isn’t about keyboard-mouse being better overall—it’s about how developers handle compatibility when shifting platforms. If anyone has insight into why this happens, it would be helpful to understand the challenges in maintaining controller support during such transitions.

The problem lies in the specific details of your setup, as the PC controller compatibility varies widely.

I face issues with controls that fail or seem stuck to certain inputs such as "dpad-up," which doesn’t match any real in-game action. These problems mainly affect two specific games, and most times everything works perfectly. It’s not related to gamepad compatibility—it’s a genuine Model 1914 issue from Microsoft.

I don’t have a concrete answer for those games. However, when moving a game around, it’s not just about pasting files. A lot of code needs to be rewritten, especially parts like the input system. Just because a game works well on one platform doesn’t guarantee it will on another.
