Hi there! I see you're just starting out with PC gaming and building your system. You've been experiencing frame rate drops even when lowering your settings quite a bit—like running Elden Ring at 800x600 with the lowest options still struggling to hit 30 FPS. Based on what you shared, it sounds like your CPU and GPU aren't getting enough load during gameplay. I think improving those components or optimizing your setup could help. Let me know if you'd like some tips on boosting performance or checking your hardware!

The 3050 is a budget model that may have trouble running Elden Ring smoothly. Your CPU temperatures might be higher than expected because the cooler isn’t set up properly—heat isn’t being expelled effectively. Try taking off your side panel and gently touch the cooler area with your hand (avoid touching it) to see if you sense any warmth. If you don’t feel heat, the installation likely needs fixing.

The problem with the CPU temperature came from needing fresh thermal paste. After reapplying it, temperatures settled around 50-60°C. Regarding the graphics card, it seems to be having issues with Elden Ring, but I’m curious about how demanding Risk of Rain 2 is. Do you think high frame drops in intense games are similar in difficulty? Would upgrading your card help? Thank you for your feedback!

Your idle core temps have definitely dropped significantly after reapplying thermal paste, reaching around 50–60°C. That sounds great! Let me know if you need further tips. Thank you!

I'm not familiar with a socket LGA 1700 contact frame. Could you clarify what you mean? Also, did the GPU usage situation change?

I checked the frame and believe I’ll definitely take it into account. The performance hasn’t changed much, but my results have noticeably improved—averaging over 50 FPS on Elden Ring with lower settings, which is great!
