I've observed that most games I play, whether on Steam or elsewhere, consistently run at 240 fps. Despite having ample processing power and no restrictions, they don't exceed this frame rate. I've tried disabling almost all non-essential programs, but the issue persists. It seems my PC might need a rest if a fix isn't found, so I'm seeking advice here. My GPU is an RTX 4070 and I'm not using Vsync in any games.

Yes, you can verify if Vsync is enabled in your Nvidia control panel by navigating to the display settings and checking the Vsync status.

It might also be a monitor, since a 240Hz display could support Gsync or Freesync, which are available in Nvidia's settings.

OMG, I'm completely lost. I checked the settings and the highest frame rate was capped at 240.

It doesn't match. My screen runs at 240Hz with Gsync enabled, but I'm still seeing 500 frames per second. (Vsync is off during gameplay and in the Nvidia settings.)
