I'm struggling to reach higher than 75 FPS in World of Warships despite low CPU and GPU usage. It seems the game enforces a frame cap found in its engine config file located at World_of_Warships\bin\5624555\res\engine_config.xml. I adjusted the maximum framerate to 150 FPS but still only achieved 75 FPS, with identical utilization levels. I modified both engine config files using Windows WordPad and noticed similar results. Could you help me find a way to exceed 775 FPS?

The Vsync feature isn't enabled in the drivers. Additionally, here are some specifications.

The engine will likely maintain a frame rate above 75 fps under normal conditions.

They don’t seem to be working anymore. The engine they have is outdated, dating back to 2002.

By examining screenshots, the game displayed significantly improved graphics compared to what a ten-year-old engine could offer. The development team likely upgraded it over time. Wargaming's largest audience is in Russia and China, where older and lower-end hardware is more prevalent—this explains why they avoid focusing on newer high-end options (LoL can still run DX9 for similar reasons). Still, setting the FPS cap at 75 seems overly restrictive. My thought is this limit is probably a temporary fix for a bug they prefer not to address. Fun fact: the server ticks at 7 per second, which influences ship firing rates. The dev team only discovered this recently, though they claim it has been present since launch. LOL Based on this, higher refresh rates wouldn’t necessarily boost competitiveness, but smoother camera movements would definitely help.
