Limitations on memory performance at 9700k speed
I'm working on improving my system with some upgrades. Right now I have 2400mhz RAM, which was typical a couple of years ago. After buying a 9700k chip for my Z390 board, I think it could benefit from faster memory speeds. I've heard Intel sometimes restricts memory speeds on certain chips recently, but I'm not sure about the exact details. My main questions are: 1) Does the 9700k limit memory speeds to around 3000mhz or can I push higher? 2) If I upgrade to a faster RAM, should I aim for 3200mhz or 3600mhz, and is there a more affordable option like 32GB instead of 16GB? 3) Overall, is it really worth increasing the RAM given my current setup with XMP support and a moderate clock speed? Thanks for your guidance!
