Limitations on GPU performance
Limitations on GPU performance
Hey everyone. I've been trying to understand what's happening with my PC lately. From HWINFO it looks like my GPU isn't using high power, and I'm wondering if the issue is with my PSU or something else. Would changing the PSU fix it? My setup includes an RTX GALAX 3070 with an Intel Core i5 12400F, B660M, and other components like RAM, SSD, and a four-fan setup from Barracuda.
The problem isn't related to the GPU's power limit. The exact cause needs further investigation.
GPU fan 2 is hitting its maximum limits, not the GPU itself. Which games or tasks are causing excessive power draw? Also, consider using two RAM sticks for better performance. A single 16GB stick in single-channel mode versus dual-channel mode makes a noticeable difference.
It seems to appear as if it's not under GPU Fan 2, but it actually looks that way.
Well then, the problem isn't with the GPU. Are you still running Spider-man Remastered for testing? You can't use that if it's not installed on an SSD. That game needs an SSD to run smoothly, I assure you. Plus, your RAM is still 1x16GB—no wonder the CPU is putting in extra effort.
If your GPU is fully utilized in Unigine Heaven, you can rule out problems with the GPU, CPU, and power supply. https://benchmark.unigine.com/heaven I’d wager on the RAM; the CPU might struggle because it can’t keep up without dual-channel memory, making it much slower.
