You're dealing with a setup where your file server and desktop are connected via SMB over Windows, using both an integrated network card and a dedicated NIC. The cards on your server are notably faster than the built-in ones, so you're looking to optimize performance. It seems you've already found a solution on macOS, but Windows presents a different challenge. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a network map? Why not just use the fast network card? Do they have different IPs? Just give it the IP you want to use.

Disable the first and second choices on the NIC that don’t require an SMB connection.
