Lian Li SL120INF does not spin.
Lian Li SL120INF does not spin.
I recently installed my new computer and everything functions properly except for the fans. My case fans appear as 0rpm in the BIOS and even in Lian Li software, which shows they aren't spinning. I’ve confirmed all SATA connections and power supplies are correctly linked to the controller. However, the RGB fans still don’t spin. In the software, I can adjust their settings so they’re clearly detected. If anyone has advice or solutions, please let me know. Thanks!
did you link your fans to port 1 on the controller? can you manage their rotation through the software? the lian-li controller box sometimes needs a bit of adjustment. are both sata connectors plugged into separate lines that aren’t linked elsewhere? have you installed the latest firmware for the controller? according to the lian-li support page, fans not turning are normal—install l-connect 3 and update the SL-INF firmware to control speed. it won’t start automatically; open the l-connect3 software, enable MB RPM Sync, and connect the PWM connector to one fan port. alternatively, set the initial RPM at a specific value. the pwm rpm signal sent to the mainboard is only read by fans connected to port 1 on the controller box. i’ve tested it myself—i have 13 inf fans.
The fan input is connected to port 1 on the fan controller. The firmware update for the Lian Li app was applied, and the SATA cables remain unplugged from that line—no connections elsewhere. The MB RPM sync behaves oddly: it doesn’t spin when turned on, but after turning it off fans briefly activate for about two seconds. Additionally, functionality works during BIOS setup, suggesting both the Lian Li software and the BIOS recognize them, though issues appear only after Windows installation.
