Hello, I just installed a new PC with all fresh parts, including the latest Lian Li SL 120 infusers. Everything seems fine except for one problem. The fans linked to the uni fan controller aren’t turning. I’ve tried swapping the controller in case it was defective, but the issue continues. RGB functions normally while the fans remain silent. When the system is running and I disconnect the USB from the controller, the fans start spinning again, then stop when I reconnect it. The BIOS detects the fan channel based on the hub connection if the USB isn’t plugged in, but fails to recognize it when the USB is connected. I’ve experimented with various USB adapters, cables, and headers, but nothing resolved the issue. At this point, I didn’t install Windows yet, preferring all hardware to work first, but I’m running out of ideas. No similar posts have appeared, so solutions are still lacking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Specs: ASUS Prime Z690A with MOBO Intel 12700K CPU, Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB DDR5 6200 RAM (X2), Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD, Lian Li Galahad 240 AIO cooler, ROG Strix 3090 24GB white, Corsair HX 1200 PSU, and a Hyte Y60 Lian Li Strimer Plus with 24-pin + triple 8-pin cable extensions. I also have a controller with two fans included.

Sure! Please confirm that the powered SATA connector is properly connected to the fan hub and receiving power. Let me know if you'd like me to quote back when you reply!

You're facing the same issue again. Your ASUS Z790 is working correctly, but you're still encountering the same problem. Let me know how I can help!

It's frustrating having fans that only work with the controller if L connect 3 is installed and running. They only spin when using USB IN with Lconnect. I previously used older fans connected to my motherboard while downloading, then unplugged them once it started working. I have three ASUS fans on the back of my cooler, so sometimes they don’t spin until you reach the login screen after an update.
