Lian Li 011 Air/Dynamic Cooling Setup
Lian Li 011 Air/Dynamic Cooling Setup
Hello, it has been quite some time since I assembled a PC and all the components have evolved significantly. I’ve chosen to retire my 2500k GTX 970 build.
I’m planning to upgrade to a 9700k configuration, aiming for a clock speed of 5GHz, 2080TI, 16GB G.Skill 3200 RAM, housed in either a Lian-Li 011 Dynamic or an Air case.
I lean toward the dynamic design for its aesthetic appeal, but my thermal requirements make me concerned it might be more restrictive than an air case. I’ve opted for the NZXT X72 as the CPU cooler.
I’m seeking guidance on fan setups and opinions comparing air versus dynamic options. For the air configuration, I imagined placing the X72 in front with intake fans and three 120mm exhaust fans. With the dynamic setup, I’m uncertain if it would fit in a side-mounted position, which would leave me unsure about side-mounting options—should I focus on exhaust or intake?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
suggest placing the rad at the top and ensure numerous intake fans are positioned ahead of it
suggest placing the rad at the top and ensure as many intake fans as possible are positioned in front
A radiator placed in front would improve CPU cooling, though you're currently using a big one with plenty of surface area and other heat sources installed.
