Hello, I’m experiencing problems with my LG32UQ85R-W monitor. When connected to a laptop, it gradually goes black. The laptop still shows the display is active and audio plays, but the screen appears dark with a faint glow. I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps: restarted it multiple times, unplugged it, pressed the power button, tested with other devices and cables. After reboots, it works briefly but the issue continues. The duration varies from 20 seconds to several minutes. The monitor feels cool to the touch. Support contacted me, but since it’s outside the one-year warranty, they’re offering a $350 repair. I was surprised by the price and might need a replacement. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! In the monitors settings, navigate to General and SMART ENERGY SAVING. Disable it. Check if the change helps. I experienced this issue with my LG Ultragear.

It's been acting strange all along, I've never switched it on.

Check the settings in Picture Adjust - Local Dimming; it should be enabled by default.

I don't have the local dimming feature, but my DFC is not working.

It's odd what occurs, I notice the bottom screen turns all white just before it goes dark. It happens really quickly, so it probably isn't a dimming setting or adjustment (though we should definitely verify).
