Hello!
The maximum safe voltage depends on your motherboard and chipset, but generally you should stay within the manufacturer's recommended range. For an i7 4790k on a H100, check your BIOS settings for safe voltages.

For a 4.7GHz overclock, aim for a stable voltage around 1.8V to 2.2V depending on your setup. If you're new to OC, start lower and monitor closely.

The required voltage can differ significantly, ranging from 1.27 to 1.35 plus, and might even be reduced with certain CPUs. Testing with several 4770Ks showed that a maximum of 1.275 was achievable, while only 20% succeeded at 4.7. Just 10% reached 4.8, and around 30% managed 4.6.
