I just began using Kali Linux today, but I’m not sure what to do. Everything seemed normal until I realized after rebooting that the Windows boot menu disappeared. I did some research and thought I could fix it, but this is getting complicated. I don’t mind the GRUB bootloader, but my parents use Windows too, so I prefer the Windows 10 version for simplicity. Plus, I want to play Valorant really hard.

I swapped the boot manager to GRUB while setting up because I’m not always making the best choices.

I don't have details about the exact grub setup Kali uses, but I understand the program you're using is quite outdated. I'm unsure if it will function with your current grub version. You might try running "sudo update-grub" in the terminal to test. Another option is creating a fresh Ubuntu USB, wiping your Kali partitions (except the Windows one), and installing Ubuntu on the empty space. This will remove all Kali data but let you install a new grub that should recognize your Windows setup.

Note: Why do many beginners choose Kali?
