specs: processor r5 5600x 4.6ghz, all-core 1.25v, 4GB DDR3 RAM, RGB 3200 CL14 GPU, gtx 970, psu evga supernova 750, os windows 10 home. my vms stay under 52°C, while cpu draws up to 102 watts. i think it should be much higher than that. (i know my temps are bad, i’m planning to buy a cooler—it only hit 90°C briefly). are the readings accurate? also, what cooling options do you recommend for a new cpu?
You believe your VRM temperatures should be elevated because they take time to warm up, so short spikes won't cause excessive heat. You also think 102W isn't much power and doubt a Ryzen 5 could really stress a B450 board.
