I need to compare the two options for restoring your Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G7. One method uses the Lenovo Recovery USB disk for a factory reset, while the other involves a clean install with Windows 11 Pro media. Which approach is more effective?

I would opt for a fresh Installer from the second link provided. After installation, visiting the Lenovo site and using its update feature would be more likely to obtain a newer Windows 11 version, reducing the need for further updates.

Having completed both approaches, I would concur with Master Colif. Both methods lead to the same destination, though the Windows Media Creator is likely to be faster. The Lenovo Recovery Service installs a recovery image of the original OS installation, which itself is a time-consuming task before any updates are required. In contrast, after the WMC finishes its work, you must install the Lenovo app, which will handle downloading and installing all Lenovo-specific drivers.
