the notebook's software seems to be the issue, as the function keys are functional. the device manager information shows it's an ideapad 130-14ikb or 81h6 model.

According to the Device Status, the software installation is problematic. Possible solutions include reinstalling the driver through Windows, removing the device from Device Manager and letting it reinstall, or deleting the device from the system to restart the installation. It seems to be part of the SDK from USB org.

ok i found the solution on yt so here's what you need to do. 1. double click the thing that's showing the error.(ELAN Keyboard Filter Device) 2. go to driver 3. then update driver 4. browse my computer for drivers 5. let me pick from a list..... 6.select standard ps/2 keyboard 7. install and you're good to go. I didn't take screenshot, sorry. but its very straightforward. Thanks.
