Hello there. I have the prebuild in the title and I’m facing a bit of an issue. Don’t bother asking how I got it. It was affordable. The CPU installed is a solid Core i7 12700F with a good cooler, keeping temps stable. Around 78°C at 126-130W when I can reach it. The real challenge now is maintaining consistent power usage. Restarting or shutting down resets the Powerlimit. It seems the outdated BIOS might be the culprit. Updated it but nothing changed. Pl1 is 65W, Pl2 is 126W with a 28-second boost window using Lenovo Intelligent Cooling. In games like Halo Infinite, the CPU stays just above Pl1 limits—like 70 instead of 65. At 65W it drops to 2.9-3.0GHz. If it hits 126-130W it reaches 4.3-4.5GHz. Now at 126-130W it hits 4.3-4.5GHz, but if it’s 65W it stays in the lower range. VRM temps look normal. 80°C during Cinebench R23 peak to 129 with XTU. If anyone can suggest a way to prevent the power limit from resetting automatically, that would be really helpful. Thanks a lot.
