LED on the CPU of a Gigabyte motherboard is active
You recently purchased all the parts for your first PC and everything is brand new. You connected everything and ran a basic test to check functionality. The motherboard lights up the CPU indicator but doesn’t appear to be booting or running any tests. You suspect an issue with the CPU, though you’re unsure what might be causing it. Your components include: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti, Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite motherboard, Cool Master ML360L ARGB V2 cooling system.
The AM5 connector has some looseness, which might cause installation issues with the CPU. The cooler may also exert uneven pressure if the screws aren't securely tightened. I recommend reinserting the CPU and double-checking that the cooler is snug. Also, inspect the socket for any bent pins.
No clear bends were found in the pins. Attempts to reinstall the CPU and adjust the cooler’s latches didn’t resolve the problem.
A BIOS upgrade might be required; the 7800X3D is an advanced model in its lineup.
The device isn't powering on, preventing access to the BIOS. The CPU indicator is illuminated. All other components appear operational.
Indicates the feature should appear in the UEFI release for the board's compatible CPUs.
Have you experimented with starting the system using only one RAM stick? That means taking out the hard drives, removing the graphics card (the 7800X3D uses an integrated GPU), disconnecting all USB devices except the keyboard, keeping just the CPU, its cooler, and a single memory stick, and checking if it boots that way.
