So after going through several troubleshooting steps, the CPU light remains red even though I updated my BIOS and installed the new CPU. I’ve checked connections, reset the CMOS, replaced the CPU multiple times, verified pin alignment, and even tried different power configurations. Still, the system doesn’t boot properly. I’ve also noticed a possible issue with the LED—some suggest it might be faulty or miswired. My motherboard seems to need an older CPU model for a successful BIOS update, but the one I received arrived yesterday. I’m uncertain if wiring was correct or if there’s another problem I haven’t identified. I’ve been working on this for weeks without success. There’s also a concern about a possible short in the CPU pump circuit, which could explain the intermittent flashing light and the final failure to power on. I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on.
