I recently installed my new PC and encountered some issues. I’m currently running my old CPU, an i5 7600, on a new motherboard and a Corsair RM850x power supply. The CPU indicator light on the bottom right is red, which suggests a compatibility problem. The documentation states that my motherboard only supports 8th and 9th generation Intel chips, making it unlikely that an i5 7600 would work. Has anyone else experienced this situation and confirmed the compatibility? I might need to replace the CPU.

The mb works with 8th and 9th generation Intel CPUs, so it should be fine for your i7 9700k tomorrow.
