Hey everyone, just built my own PC for the first time and everything worked smoothly. Suddenly, while starting up, the CPU and DRAM indicators flashed briefly before turning off again when I reached the login screen. After logging in, I was able to use the PC for a short time, but then it displayed a blue screen with the error "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION." The issue appeared twice, centered on the top half of the screen, while the bottom remained black with a green/red stripe separating the halves. I’ll share a photo of the BSoD later. Noticing this, my PC didn’t show any blue screen when I was just on the login screen—after about 20 minutes, nothing happened. Once logged in after waiting, it’s been ten minutes without a blue screen. Could it be that too many programs were loading at startup and I had to wait before logging in? Some services kept asking me to sign in again (Steam, Spotify, Epic Games, etc.) even though I was already logged in earlier today. Everything seems normal now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Consider resetting the PC to factory settings. It might help if the drivers are faulty or if there were issues with the registry.

Hi there! Here are the details about your setup. Double-check all power connections to make sure they're securely placed. The system is reporting a critical error in the OS service, so I recommend reinstalling the operating system and its drivers. If that doesn't resolve the issue, consider swapping out parts one by one to identify what changes. Also, verify your RAM placement: it should be in the second and fourth slots near the CPU, which is standard for consumer boards with four DIMMs unless specified otherwise in the motherboard manual.

LEDs illuminate while starting and then switch off after the process finishes. This is typical. A crash occurs—consider a fresh Windows installation instead. A repair install might be an option if you prefer not to restart everything.

Find the issue linked to higher resolution displays above 1080p. This problem isn’t related to the crash cause itself. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and verify presence of any minidump files. If found, return to your Windows directory and move the Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (desktop works if OneDrive isn't syncing). Compress the moved folder and send it via a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows discourages file manipulation there.
