I've been using my 3800X for about eight months now and everything has worked smoothly. Last night I left it running idle while I was eating, returned to my room, and noticed no output on my monitors. When I restarted the PC, the fans spun but the CPU/driver lights turned red. After some troubleshooting, I tried my older 2600X, which booted fine, but I’m not sure how the 3800X could have failed. Is there a way to fix this issue, or should I file an AMD warranty claim? Thanks in advance.

Disconnect the battery to reset the system. Then use the 3800X to clear the CMOS.

You mentioned checking the CLRTC pins and still having the CPU light remain red after restarting your PC.

Remove all but one RAM module, test each slot. Then try the remaining sticks. It seems a warranty might be needed.

Sure, I've attempted the RAM solution but haven't seen any results. I'm planning to submit the warranty claim form and trust in the outcome. Thanks for your assistance!
