LED always stays active on the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-I gaming setup.
Hi, I faced issues after upgrading my HTPC with a Ryzen 5400G and a Fractal node 202 case. Before updating to BIOS version 4901, I didn’t record the original BIOS version. My system had compatibility problems with the new CPU, so I returned my old Ryzen 2400G. The HDD label on the 2 PIN LED connector from Node 202 was confusing—I connected it to the front panel power pins instead. After updating the BIOS and applying the optimized settings, the power LED stays on even when I power off the PC. I disabled Fast Boot in BIOS and Fast Startup in Windows 10, but that didn’t resolve the issue. I searched for BIOS settings related to S4 and S5 states without success. The last motherboard manual was from August 2018, which doesn’t match the BIOS options for version 4901. I’m considering flashing an older BIOS that worked with my previous case, but it feels like the last resort. Anyone else have encountered this problem with the power LED staying on?
Adjust the wiring for the Case Power LEDs to link with the motherboard connectors, not the HDD. Confirm the correct connections are made.
Node 202 lacks two LED lights; only one is under the power button area, and the 2-pin jack is labeled HDD. At present, the internal LED is linked to the MOMO front panel power pins. The LEDs function correctly but fail to switch off when the PC is powered down. Edited November 26, 2022 by Orome80
