Learning new abilities... Connecting device to computer...
I just bought a gaming PC, mid-range. I'm trying to switch from controllers to keyboard and mouse for FPS games. It's tough to get the hang of it, any tips or practice suggestions?
It varies based on the type of games you enjoy. Adapting to a new ability usually requires time. I experienced this when switching from keyboard/mouse to a controller, and sometimes it remains challenging.
But the time it takes to adjust varies from person to person. I struggle with quick, precise controller shots—moving the cursor isn’t fast or accurate enough for me. I’m only about 90% skilled with the controller, with just 10% when aiming and shooting in games like Elden Ring. That 10% usually comes up whenever I need to aim with a ranged weapon. Still, diving into fast-paced competitive games can be useful practice, though you might end up getting overwhelmed often.
Voltaic offers a huge amount of content for beginners, all centered around their Discord server where you can find their Google Docs. For aiming tips, we’ve been active all day, but Voltaic stands out since they use Aim Lab as their free training tool. Revosect and Aimerz+ are also good options, though they rely on Kovaak's Aim Trainer, which costs money.
