I've chosen to rely entirely on my Ubuntu VM for the coming month. This is to fully adapt to a Linux setup. The issue with my mouse is that I frequently use the forward and back buttons. After some research, I found a guide at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ManyButtonsMouseHowto. When using xinput get-button-map <id>, it returns 1 2 3 4 5. I attempted to set xinput set-button-map <id> with numbers 1 through 7, hoping it would activate 6 and 7, but it didn't work. Any suggestions? If this matters, my mouse is a M95.
