I want to improve my overclocking skills for my new 8700k build. I need a beginner-friendly guide, ideally a video, that covers the basics. I haven’t found a good YouTube tutorial yet—they usually focus on specific CPUs. My setup includes an MSI 970 Gaming MOBO and an FX-8370 CPU.

Videos are easy but don’t really instruct you on what’s essential. These resources offer a superior method for proper learning.
This one serves as a general OC guide, adaptable across different platforms once you grasp the core concepts. It’s considered among the top options.
A specific reference for Coffee Lake CPUs is available here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1641166/ocn-l...frey-edson
If you prefer a video format, this one may be useful, but I emphasize that understanding the reasons behind actions and following the correct sequence matters more than simply following instructions.
der8bauer is recognized as a competitive overclocker among others, making it a solid starting point if you want to learn from a video.
