League of Legends - performance 9700k + rx6800
Hello guys,
I’m experiencing some issues with League of Legends at the moment.
My system has 9700k OC to 4.9GHz with an RX6800, paired with a 1080p 144hz monitor.
The FPS is quite low—starting at over 300 but dropping to around 200 after a couple of minutes, and then 120-150 during fights.
My AMD graphics are averaging about 129 FPS in LoL.
I have two x8 DDR4 3600 CL16 drives on an SSD.
Other games run perfectly fine.
If I can push 200+ FPS in almost any game, it would be great. With this PC, I’d expect 300+ FPS nonstop in LoL, but dropping below 120 is concerning.
Any suggestions or solutions?

RAM consists of Crucial Ballistix red 2x8GB 3600 CL16
Storage includes Samsung 850, Kingston A400 and Barracuda 2TB
GPU is PowerColor RX 6800
Power supply is Seasonic Focus 550w Gold (two years old)
Chassis is Gamemax Aero
Operating system is Windows 10 Pro
Monitor is AOC C24G2AE (1080p, 144hz)
