Recently my games have begun to fail for no apparent cause on my one-year-old machine. Certain titles are now unplayable while others crash less often but it still happens more than once a year. I suspect it might be my own mistake since I wasn’t aware of the ideal CPU temperatures and think the issues could stem from overheating after prolonged high heat exposure. I’m uncertain but I plan to replace the CPU cooler. If my assessment is correct, should I consider getting a new CPU? I also updated the BIOS a few months ago without success. Windows 10 64-bit, Intel I14700K, GeForce Rtx 4080, ASUS Prime Z790-A, WiFi, 64GB, 2x32, DDR5 6000MHz, CL30, Trident Z5, Samsung 980 Pro M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB, Seasonic Prime GX 1000W, Noctua NH-U12A.
