If anyone has slowed down the PUBG train lately because of slow performance, head over to the test servers and try the desert map and original island. The updated vaulting system fixes many movement problems, and frame rates have jumped significantly (about 20-40% better for many users). Currently I manage around 100 fps on my gaming laptop (using a 1070 and 7700HQ at 1080 High), and 120-140 fps on my gaming desktop (1070sli, 8700k @ 5.01 ghz, fully loaded, 3440x1440 UWS). With 1.0 launching in just two days (early Christmas?), I hope they continue improving in the right direction.

The recent engine updates significantly improved performance. On the test server, I'm seeing around 80-100 frames per second across various settings, including medium, high, and low, with a 970 frame rate. It also looks better visually.

Improvements in gun and character visuals are noticeable. However, rendering of faraway objects remains problematic even at maximum settings.

Despite the PTS, I’m still experiencing CPU throttling that limits my frames to the low 50s, though it’s not as frequent. The CPU optimizations have significantly improved SLI performance. I can now play the game at 5120x2880 with high settings (effects and AA set to low) around 75 FPS.

Sure, SLI functionality has significantly enhanced. It was the final match I played with SLI scaling problems. Really pleased they're fixed overall.

The update has made a positive impact, though my primary concern remains the servers. The standard servers function properly unless they encounter problems, whereas the test servers consistently perform poorly.

We should thank China. The good news is that today marks the launch day.
