As the title says I just built a new pc, and everything went smoothly and works fine, only problem is, whenever I try to apply one of the DOCP profiles (either DOCP 1 or 2) it just boots to a black screen after I click save and reset in the BIOS. And I really don't fancy running my memory at 4000mhz, lol. I really hope someone can help! In advance, thank you! Activating DOCP on an Intel CPU could cause issues because you’ll need XMP support. It’s unclear whether 6000MHz sticks are compatible with 16GB or 4GB modules, as some configurations work better on one platform than the other.
I noticed that pattern, and there seems to be some discussion around specific kits being tailored for either AMD or Intel. However, it's mentioned that it should still function with the right overclocking settings. It's also noted that this setup uses a 2x16 GB configuration.
Just looked at the site—I didn’t realize there were two identical memories listed: "AMD Expo" and "Intel XMP." *sigh*
I could probably head back to the store to check if I can exchange these and obtain the XMP version. I haven’t done any manual overclocking for memory before, just the GPU and a little CPU, so I’m not very comfortable with RAM settings.
