Latest GPU experiencing manufacturer logo issue
Hey there! I set up the RX6600 in my Dell XPS 8930 and added a fresh power supply—750 watts, which is more than enough. When I booted up, it stuck on the Dell logo, but it works without the GPU connected (using the built-in one). The monitor now shows the Dell logo correctly. I’m having trouble getting into Windows or the BIOS. Any tips?
What graphics card were you using before? If it was an NVIDIA model, start without the AMD chip inside and download DDU. Restart in safe mode and run DDU. Remove both AMD and NVIDIA drivers one at a time while restarting, then install the 6600 and check if Windows loads now.
Google is obviously involved. Please wait for the next update. (And thank you.)
Secure boot can prevent Windows from starting if it's turned on. However, it's important to verify trusted hardware components—Dell, Lenovo, and possibly HP—may restrict compatibility with certain GPUs. In some cases, a customized motherboard BIOS is needed to ensure proper functionality.
