I’m thinking about getting an Asrock B550 Taichi Razer Edition board that supports Ryzen 5000 processors. If I upgraded to a 5800X or even a 5900X, would I need to change the BIOS? Probably not, but if I couldn’t afford a Ryzen 3000 series to do that, would I just rely on flashing the BIOS instead? Please let me know if you have any details. Thanks!

If on the off chance you do have to update the bios here is a video on doing so without a CPU

This means the BIOS installed is compatible with these processors. If you need to upgrade the BIOS later, you can do so smoothly. Just install an older CPU when the motherboard BIOS lacks support for newer ones.

Yes, you can install it directly without a BIOS update. Just note that the processor is Ryzen 3rd gen and you’ll need to perform a BIOS update afterward. Flashback usage isn’t required unless specified.
