In the coming week I’ll set up a system for the first time and will be using a Ryzen 5 7600 (non-X). My Asus motherboard is in hand, but I’m a bit confused about which BIOS version to choose. The last non-beta update restricted SoC voltage for 7000X3D CPUs and came out on April 28th. That same day a beta update limited SoC voltage across all 7000 series CPUs, followed by another beta on May 4th. Should I go with the beta from April 28th to avoid potential CPU issues, or should I stick with the latest non-beta release? Any guidance would be really helpful!
Typically I avoid beta BIOS, but given today's situation, the chance of something bad happening with a beta BIOS is much lower than the risk of a blown CPU.
