Latest AM5 model experiencing steady power shutdown and connectivity problems.
Hey there. I just upgraded my system to AM5 and everything looks good on paper—just a few parts were reused. The specs match what I saw listed. ---NEW CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X MOBO: ROG-STRIX-X670E-A-GAMING-WIFI RAM: F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RS PCIE: ASUS PCE-AX58BT ---REUSED COMPONENTS: ROG-STRIX-LC-360-RGB-WHITE GPU: ROG-STRIXRTX3080-O10G-WHITE Boot: Samsung 970 PRO 1TB PSU: ROG-THOR-850P After a fresh Windows install on my boot drive, things began to work. I faced constant instant shutdowns when idle, struggled to connect the wireless adapter for internet, and even tried disabling it then re-enabling the motherboard feature without success. Nothing changed. I updated Windows and used USB tethering from my phone for drivers—surprisingly helpful—but still encountered these problems. I can't seem to get anything going unless I spend a lot of time troubleshooting. In retrospect, I should have done more research before buying this platform. So instead of replacing the hardware, I'm hoping for help to get this build up and running smoothly without resorting to drastic fixes. I've changed a few BIOS settings, adjusted RAM parameters, reset network adapters, and tried power supply checks, but nothing works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
