Using word "speed" for frequency is also a misnomer. Speed refers to performance and encompasses frequency, all forms of latency (not just Cas), and is influenced by rank and channel.

As with many things, the answer is, "it depends."
It depends on everything from your definition of important or critical, to what resolution you are playing at, if talking about gaming. If your question is in reference to a future purchase, just make sure you're picking up at least DDR5 6000 CL32 and you should be good.
