Hey guys, another boring office related post. I have my own business and with it I have a set of clients I 'look after' and I want to be able to send them bulk emails so that they know they're being 'looked after'. Anyway that's going into the concept of the business which isn't important, but I don't want any of these bulk emails to end up in the clients spam folders, and I don't know how I can have a list of contacts, write an email and just tick them all and send straight away without having to type their email address in all the time, I use Outlook but I guess this could be done from any email webpage or software. Kinda boring and I wish it was more about pcs but I need help on this one. thanks guys.
Gmail performs exceptionally well; I don’t know why you’re opting for Outlook. If you’re looking for an alternative third-party tool, Mozilla Thunderbird is worth considering—though I haven’t used it before. Just stick with Gmail and consider asking your customers to include your email in their contacts.
I suspect you could locate a fix in Outlook related to merging emails or similar tasks, though I’ll keep you updated.
@ Jev96, we need to clarify the number of recipients and the sending frequency. Also, will the recipient list change each time or remain consistent? There are various bulk email options, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Some methods involve setting up contact groups in your email client with pre-made templates, while others use specialized software for large-scale advertising or newsletters that track performance. You also have newsletter platforms where you can sign up, and there are group discussion mailing lists that are less common now. Be mindful of legal rules that apply to both sending and receiving sides—like the need for an unsubscribe link in unsolicited emails, or requiring Canadian recipients to opt-in before messages are sent. If you share more details about your plans, audience, and volume, I can offer more targeted guidance. The way you described suggests a focus on reassurance and support, which could be better handled through an automated reply system rather than standard email.
Sure, clients remain consistent with regular updates. I aim to send monthly newsletters to keep them informed about developments and other important matters. It’s also possible for me to share updates on special occasions. Since I’m based in the UK, I’m confident I’m following the guidelines, as they’ve provided our contact details for communication. This way, recipients shouldn’t feel any issues receiving emails from us.
