Laptops with Windows 8 display features
Hey there, I’m not sure if anyone can assist, but let’s give it a shot. We run a store that sells many Windows laptops and desktops, so we definitely need updated display models. Our printing service also relies on customers using our devices to open emails and files. Right out of the box, Windows 8/8.1 feels really rough for us—people open PDFs and end up in the fullscreen reader, and photos behave strangely. The Internet Explorer app is even worse than the desktop browser. I’m wondering if anyone knows a batch file or similar solution that could fix these issues quickly instead of manually changing settings like switching to Windows Live Viewer. It’s definitely a challenge, but someone might have the answer here. Thanks!
The instructions now follow a consistent format. Let's ensure clarity and precision.
Set up Adobe Reader. Launch Windows Live Essentials - Photo Gallery; upon opening an image or PDF, the system will display a prompt offering alternative software options, allowing you to choose one permanently for that file type. Alternatively, access the Default Program panel, select your desired application, and click "Set this program as default." You may also enable remote desktop from a single computer to other devices on the network—each requires a password and works with the Pro version of Windows. Open a folder, navigate to "Network," locate all connected computers, right-click one, and choose "Connect with remote desktop" to establish a link.
