You can try connecting a display directly to the USB-C port and see if it works. Some desktop mobos support USB-C displays, though it depends on the model and firmware. Check your specific model’s manual or manufacturer site for details.

Based on my observations, I attempted to connect my monitor via a Type-C port on the motherboard with an integrated GPU. It didn’t work. With an iGPU, it seems the system needs a clear "with display pass through" instruction. I haven’t found any standard Type-C ports that support this feature beyond specialized boards with DP passthrough capabilities.

Thanks for the details! I’m planning to give it a try and hope it works smoothly. The product offers useful options like a USB-A to USB-C converter or a micro HDMI connection. What type of USB-C display are you using?

im using some cheap china stuff (not cheap at all tbh) the model number is P15AT, many "company" carries it. it comes in a box without any brand name (very generic box), 15.6inch IPS with matte surface it cost around $100 for the base model without touch, $180 with touch. also has optional battery (which i opted out, because battery can cause issues. i'd rather use power banks) it has mini HDMI for input, a type-C for power(and touch signal), and a micro USB for power(and touch? i never used micro usb on it) it also have a 2nd type C cable to carry power, display, and touch signal, all in 1 cable. it works fine on my type-C port on my GPU, but not my motherboard. the asus model just looks overpriced lol. though you do get a reputable company to speak to if something isnt right with it.

It's quite expensive, but I'm hoping it meets my expectations. If not, I'll likely return it. Appreciate the guidance. Time to wind down.
