I have an outdated laptop gathering dust and I'm looking to sell it. During the reinstallation of Windows, I saw the GPU listed as "NVIDIA GeForce GT 635". (no m at the end) The model is an Acer P15 (E5-574G-555P). Based on the label, it should support 920M. On the Nvidia site, choosing 920M returns driver version 425.31. When I tried that, the install failed with a compatibility warning saying the driver doesn't match the Windows version I had installed (Win 10 64 bit). The Acer site also shows the same issue. I can get Driver 474.14 from the Acer page, but I can't open the Nvidia Control Panel—it just won't appear. What might cause this strange behavior?
