Your laptop gets quite warm when idle, usually around 77 to 80 degrees, and the new thermal paste and pads haven’t solved the problem.

Updated today from 95 to 65! It turns out my board is locked, but with Ryzen Master I’ve managed to get stable results. One issue with my laptop is it always needs power—when the cable comes out it shuts off automatically during stress. This is due to simultaneous multithreading. My logs show: Power mode max 90 degrees, temp 3.1GHz, voltage 1.33125; Cinebench r15: 2458; Power mode max Simultaneous Multicore at 80 degrees, temp 3.1GHz; 1538; Power mode max Simultaneous Multicore off at 70 degrees, temp 3.1GHz; 2354; idle 60 degrees, Cinebench 2352; SMT on 1.25 idle 60; Cinebench 2300 at 1.25624 idle 65; Cinebench 2209 (3GHz) at 1.21875 idle 66; 2291 at 1.20625 3.1GHz; idle 3.1GHz stable at 3000MHz.
