Earlier today I used my Dell XPS 15 9520 laptop. It had two monitors connected—one 32-inch 4K and another 24-inch 1920x1200. I was working on it while watching YouTube videos. Suddenly, the 32-inch monitor stopped working. The other screen was still on and music kept playing. I couldn’t click anything; the taskbar and desktop didn’t appear anywhere. After unplugging the cables, the 24-inch monitor turned off too. But the music kept playing. The problem was that nothing was connected, just a blank screen. I pressed the power button briefly and then it shut down. After turning it back on, connecting both monitors didn’t help. Eventually, I restarted the laptop, shut it down, and connected an external monitor. Once that was done, both monitors worked normally. Can anyone explain why this happened? Why did the 32-inch monitor just turn off without any input?
