Gaming laptop shows only keyboard delay during gameplay and when typing. I've reset the keyboard drivers, removed filter keys, and run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in the command prompt. Changed keyboards and tried the built-in keyboard, but nothing fixed the issue. Games are running normally and Task Manager doesn't indicate any resource limits.

I encountered a brief issue that lasted only a short time. It seems antivirus might be the cause. Turn off all programs and enable real-time protection in MS Defender. You could also try disabling memory integrity, though I’m unsure it would help much. I should have checked this earlier, but when did the problem start? What laptop model do you have? Have you tried booting in safe mode already?

It's an ROG Zephyrus G15. I attempted to disable Windows Defender's real-time protection, but it kept working. I also checked the Device Manager to ensure no Human Interface Devices were disabled as suggested in a subreddit, updated the display drivers and Windows 11, and the problem began a few weeks ago.

What is the issue? Notice significant delays after pressing keys while typing. Edit - Also, test in safe mode since I mentioned that.
