I own a laptop with an i3 10th gen processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM, and Windows 10. I only use Chrome and Microsoft Word, no other programs or games. Recently, it has been getting warmer than usual. Previously, there was no temperature issue. I’m curious—could this be related? The climate in my area is changing from winter to summer. Might that be the reason? What typically leads to laptop overheating? And what can be done to fix it?

Hey there,
Ambient temperatures definitely matter, especially during hotter periods. Laptops can become quite dusty too, so removing the back panel and using compressed air might help clear out grills or fans. Dust buildup on fans can also reduce efficiency over time. A cooling pad could further assist in lowering temperatures. Reapplying thermal paste to the CPU may also provide some relief, though it requires careful handling. These methods together should help keep your laptop cooler.
