No, I don't load exclusively with UEFI.

It should function properly now. I've tested it multiple times on my laptop with a new drive and reinstallation—everything worked smoothly. If you're unsure, try powering it on via USB first, then insert it later.

Upgrading isn't possible during installation. A fresh setup is required. You can launch the installer from Windows 10 and then upgrade later.

I mentioned a new drive, which is an upgrade. You still need the correct settings—UEFI, legacy or something similar. I’m not sure, but I think it’s possible even with that change.

That’s what I’m confused about—what exactly is the OP doing besides upgrade the SSD? They want Windows 10 on, and the error message still feels unclear. Just a heads-up, I probably enabled GPT during installation.

Windows offers an upgrade feature. It helps users move from basic to advanced levels, including some unsupported versions. They're attempting to enhance or modify an existing Windows setup that isn't currently available.

Sure, I understand. If it happens like that, it’s confusing, but it makes more sense in context, right?
