Laptop fails to charge via USB-C PD port.
I own an HP Envy 2 in 1 laptop (15-ew0013dx) with two USB-C ports, but neither is working anymore. The charging brick stopped functioning when connected, suggesting a surge might have damaged the ports. I’m trying to determine if the problem lies with the USB ports or the charging system and need advice on troubleshooting steps.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! I came across this;

the SKU for the laptop might vary, but the charging method remains consistent (I assume);

If you think it's the port, check for visible damage or burn marks around the soldered area. A faulty power delivery circuit will require a multimeter to pinpoint the issue. If you're unsure, visit a local laptop repair shop for assistance.
Thank you for your response. The laptop you discovered seems almost identical, which is good news. I checked it out and saw no burn marks. After taking out the battery, the laptop started to power on—though the screen remained dark and there was no activity detected. It appears the motherboard might be damaged. Appreciate your assistance!
