The delay will be huge, even on a powerful machine, and Chromecast isn't built for gaming. A more affordable HDMI cable would be better.

I need to transfer my entire PC to the front of my TV. Do you have any alternatives similar to Chromecast with reduced lag?

I would definitely invest the extra cash in a NZXT DOKO.

Essentially identical to a Chrome cast, but with slightly reduced lag.

It's significantly improved compared to using a chromecast, especially when a device like a Doko picks it up in March.

Almost everything allows you to run your PC fully from your living room with minimal delay.

Do you have a laptop nearby? Even a netbook works, since you could use Steam Share. Connect the laptop to your TV and stream the PC games onto it. I do this while lying in bed with my MacBook. It lets me play games that my Mac struggles with and also lets me stay in bed when I’m feeling under the weather.

Yes, simply connect your Chromecast to the box and it should work fine.
